The three terrorists arrested in Germany for plotting attacks were likely trained by North Waziristan based al Qaeda commander Abu Hanifah. The twin suicide bombings in Rawalpini have been linked to al Qaeda and the Taliban, including Taliban commander Baitullah Mehsud. Six of the 300 Pakistani soldiers in Taliban custody in South Waziristan have been freed after negotiations with Baitullah Mehsud’s representatives.
