Ten “miscreants” were killed and seven Pakistani soldiers were wounded in a series of clashes in South Waziristan. The South Waziristan Taliban asked for 30 of its men to be released in exchange for the 234 captured Pakistani troops. The Taliban attacked a Frontier Corps post in North Waziristan. Four soldiers were killed and two wounded in an attack in Kohistan.
