As Sahab, al Qaeda’s propaganda arm, released a videotape by Abu Yahya al Libi, a spokesman and senior leader in Afghanistan. Al Libi criticized Hamas and other Islamist groups for embracing political means. “Patriotism, nationalism, shared unity, the supreme interest and other slogans … none of these have any space in the religion of Allah the Glorious and the Great.”
