Taliban leader Mullah Omar called for all Afghans to “put aside all of our internal, regional and linguistic differences and get united against the enemy.” A suicide bomber attacked a logistics convoy heading to the Zari district; 15 were killed and 26 wounded, most were civilians. Twelve Taliban were killed after ambushing a Afghan/ISAF convoy in Helmand province. The Taliban said talks with the South Koreans over the fate of 19 Korean hostages have failed.
