Fifty Taliban were killed in Zirlan Tangi in the Tora Bora region of eastern Nangarhar after crossing the border from Pakistan. Thirty-three Taliban were killed in airstrikes against positions in the Zhari district of Kandahar; four were captured. Afghan police arrested a Saudi citizen who has spent the past eight years fighting along side the Taliban.
