The Taliban kidnapped 18 South Korean Christians in Ghazni province. The Taliban claimed it shot down a U.S. helicopter in Nuristan province, while NATO said the helo made a forced landing and all on board survived. The UAE may be the first Arab country to deploy troops in Afghanistan.
