During fighting over the weekend, which resulted in 20 al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb operatives killed, Algerian soldiers found a computer containing files listing the names of 572 operatives, all thought to have attended a meeting of Al Qaeda™s North African wing. This meeting was described as a “congress” and was attended by members from throughout North Africa.
