A Taliban rocket attack on Bannu city killed nine civilians and wounded over 40. Small-scale attacks also occurred in North Waziristan and Bajaur. The U.S. identified nine al Qaeda camps in North Waziristan. Afghan Taliban commander Mullah Naimatullah and two Uzbeks were killed in attacks in Baluchistan. South Waziristan Taliban commander Abdullah Mehsud was buried in his home town.
