Fourteen were wounded in a bombing at a tea shop in Yala province. Two soldiers were wounded in an IED attack in Narathiwat. The Army recalled over 5,000 reservists drafted since 1996 from in Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat, and select districts of Songkhla and Satun for a “five-day training course… aimed… at instilling patriotism and an understanding of the need to cooperate with the authorities” against the insurgency.
