Up to 200 Taliban and civilians were killed in fighting in Uruzgan over the past 3 days. An airstrike on an al Qaeda madrassa and mosque in Paktika resulted in several al Qaeda and seven children killed; the children were used as human shields. Up to 250 Taliban and al Qaeda are believed to have reoccupied the mountain complex of Tora Bora on the Nangahar border.
