The central government ‘expressed concerns over the rising Talibanisation‘ in the NWFP to the provincial government. The Taliban bombed a barber shop in Darra Adamkhel and beheaded another “US spy” in North Waziristan. Maulana Fazlur Rehman Khalil, the leader of the banned Harkat-ul-Ansar, was arrested. The government denied Pakistanis were killed in fighting in Afghanistan and claimed there are no al Qaeda leaders inside Pakistan.
