Muslim insurgents of the Runda Kampulan Kecil (RKK) killed 7 Thai soldiers in an attack in the southern Narathiwat province. The RKK hit the vehicle with a 50 pound bomb, then proceeded to shoot the survivors. Insurgents also killed a father and son in Yala province.
Pakistani CD and internet cafe owners in the NWFP are appealing to MMA led government for protection from Taliban threats, but state “no one from the district administration is lending a helping hand.” Pakistan claimed it deployed an additional 10,000 troops to the NWFP.
