NATO and Afghan forces have retaken the Sangin district from the Taliban in Helmand province after yesterday’s air assault. Five police were killed and 4 wounded during a Taliban attack in Zabul. Seven were killed, including 3 from a de-mining team, after the Taliban attacked in Farah.
