Over 60 were killed and 131 wounded after car bombs exploded in New Baghdad and Sadr City. Coalition forces killed 4 al Qaeda and captured another 4 in raids near Rutbah. A car bomb network leader and 2 members of the Mahdi Army were captured in Baghdad. A senior insurgent leader linked to al Qaeda was captured in Mosul.
