Lt. Gen. Raymond Odierno said he has proof the Iranians are supplying IED materials to Iraqi insurgents. Operations in Diyala in mid-January resulted in 100 insurgents killed and 54 detained. The number of troops deployed may actually double in the surge. Sixty-two were killed in a double suicide and mortar attacks.
