Iraq

The Iraqi government has increased security in anticipation of violence after Sunday’s expected Saddam trial verdict. A curfew has been imposed in the provinces of Baghdad, Salahuddin, Diyala and Anbar. All leave for the security forces has been canceled. Iraqi special forces conducted a raid in Sadr City, detaining three. Iraqi police kill 53 al Qaeda and detain 16 in fighting outside of Baghdad.
