A bomb blast in the southern Philippine town of Makilala killed 12 and wounded 25. Four were wounded in a bombing in a market in Tacurong. Two Abu Sayyaf fighters were killed and six Philippine troops were wounded in the latest round of fighting in Sulu. Three additional Jemaah Islamiyah bomb makers are training Abu Sayyaf.
