Afghan Army and ISAF forces killed over 63 Taliban during fighting over the past few days in Helmand and Uruzgan provinces. Forty Taliban were killed during a strike on a Taliban base in Helmand’s Girishk district. An outnumbered Afghan force with embedded NATO trainers defeated the Taliban during a six day battle in Garmser. Operation Wyconda Pincer in Farah has ended.
