US airline bomber in al Qaeda propaganda
A banner and a photo of Omar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian who attempted to blow up a US airliner before it landed in Detroit, from a propaganda statement released by Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula on the Internet. Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula took credit for the attempted bombing of of a US airlines on Christmas Day and vowed to conduct further attacks. "...[W]e have come to slaughter you (and) will strike you with no previous (warning), our vengeance is near," the statement read.
